Renata Scotto.


Renata Scotto (s. 24. helmikuuta 1934 Savona) on italialainen oopperalaulaja, äänialaltaan sopraano. Hän on lisäksi ohjannut oopperaa, opettanut ja toiminut laulukilpailujen tuomaristoissa. Hän vetäytyi laulajana vuonna 2002.


Scotto debytoi 24. joulukuuta 1952 Violettan roolissa Verdin oopperassa La traviata. Hän pääsi La Scalaan vuonna 1953 osallistuttuaan koelaulutilaisuuteen, jolla etsittiin esiintyjiä La Wallyyn. Vuonna 1957 hän nousi kansainväliseen maineeseen esiinnyttyään Edinburghissa Aminan roolissa oopperassa Unissakävelijä. Metropolitan-oopperassa Scotto debytoi vuonna 1965 Cio-Cio-Sanin roolissa Madame Butterflyssa.[1]


Scotto meni vuonna 1960 naimisiin Lorenzo Anselmin kanssa ja sai kaksi lasta.
