José Antonio Abreu (7. toukokuuta 1939 Valera – 24. maaliskuuta 2018 Caracas[1]) oli venezuelalainen säveltäjä, kansanedustaja ja kulttuuriministeri[2]. Opiskeltuaan musiikkia Caracasissa hän alkoi esiintyä pianistina, cembalistina ja urkurina. Vuonna 1975 Abreu perusti Venezuelan ensimmäisen sinfoniaorkesterin.


Abreu perusti Venezuelaan 1975 myös lapsiorkesterin, josta kehittyi Simón Bolívar -nuoriso-orkesteriverkosto. Orkesteria on johtanut hänen entinen oppilaansa Gustavo Dudamel. Lisäksi Venezuelaan on perustettu neljä vankilaorkesteria, ja nuoriso-orkesterien esimerkin mukaan samanlaisia orkestereita on perustettu esimerkiksi Yhdysvaltoihin, Saksaan ja Britanniaan.[2]


Abreu on säveltänyt muun muassa kamarimusiikkia, pianokappaleita ja kaksi sinfoniaa.
