Rdio oli yhdysvaltalainen mainosrahoitteinen musiikin suoratoistopalvelu, jolla käyttäjät pystyivät kuuntelemaan musiikkia internetyhteyden avulla. Palvelu oli saatavilla 85:sä eri maassa.[1] Rdion ilmaisversio oli mainosrahoitteinen, mutta palvelusta oli saatavilla kuukausimaksullinen versio ilman mainoksia.[2]


16. marraskuuta 2015 Rdio jätti yrityssaneerausilmoituksen ja kertoi myyvänsä palveluun liittyvät teknologiansa Pandoralle.[3]

Rdio oli saatavilla 85 eri maassa.


Rdion julkaisi Skypen perustajat Niklas Zennström ja Janus Friis 3. elokuuta 2010. Tammikuussa 2014 palveluun lisättiin audio-mainoksilla tuettu ilmaisversio.[4]


Vuoden 2015 lopussa Rdion jättämän Chapter 11:n johdosta he myivät teknologiansa Pandoralle 75 miljoonan dollarin hintaan.[5][6]

2. huhtikuuta 2013 julkaistu Vdio oli maksullinen elokuvien ja televisiosarjojen suoratoistopalvelu.[7] Vdio toimi Yhdysvalloissa ja Isossa-Britanniassa ennen kuin palvelu suljettiin 27. joulukuuta 2013.[8]
