Papuansorsa (Salvadorina waigiuensis) on harvinainen sorsalintu, joka on Uudessa-Guineassa kotoperäinen laji. Se on sukunsa ainoa laji.



Koko ja ulkonäkö |


Papuansorsa kasvaa 38-43 cm pitkäksi ja painaa 400-525 grammaa. Sillä on pitkulainen vartalo ja ruskeansävyinen juovikas höyhenpeite. Nokka on kirkkaan keltainen. Koiraan ja naaraan voi erottaa silmien väristä: koiraan silmät ovat punaiset, naaraan taas ruskeat.[2]

Papuansorsaa tavataan Indonesiassa ja Papua-Uusi-Guineassa.[1]
