M83 on ranskalais-amerikkalainen elektronisen musiikin yhtye, jonka perustivat Nicholas Fromageau ja Anthony Gonzalez vuonna 2001. Tunnetuksi yhtyeen nosti toinen albumi Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts, jonka jälkeen Fromageau jätti yhtyeen. Nykyään Gonzalez tekee kappaleet yksin, vierailevia muusikoita apuna käyttäen.


M83:n musiikki haki varsinkin alkuvaiheessa runsaasti vaikutteita shoegazing-tyylisuuntauksesta, jossa lauluosuudet lauletaan pehmeällä äänensävyllä vahvasti efektoidun, täyteenahdetun äänivallin päälle. Myöhemmillä levyillä on myös menty pop-kappaleiden suuntaan, vanhan tyylin pysytellessä rinnalla. Saturdays = Youth sisältää myös vahvoja 80-luvun tuotannollisia vaikutteita, Digital Shades Vol. 1 puolestaan on enemmänkin ambient-albumi. M83 on myös tehnyt remixejä muille yhtyeille ja artisteille, mm. Depeche Modelle, Placebolle, Goldfrappille ja Bloc Partylle.
