Oikeutettu kosto (Crossfire) on Edward Dmytrykin ohjaama yhdysvaltalainen film noir -elokuva vuodelta 1947. Elokuva pohjautuu Richard Brooksin romaaniin The Brick Foxhole. Oikeutettu kosto sai kriitikoilta hyvän vastaanoton ja se oli myös taloudellinen menestys.[1]
Elokuva sai viisi Oscar-ehdokkuutta ja se palkittiin Cannesin elokuvajuhlilla parhaana yhteiskunnallisena elokuvana.[2]


The New York Timesin kriitikot valitsivat sen vuonna 2004 yhdeksi kaikkien aikojen tuhannesta parhaasta elokuvasta maailmassa.[3]



Juoni |


Elokuva alkaa kohtauksella, jossa tunnistamattomaksi jäävä sotilas pahoinpitelee toisen sotilaan, Joseph Samuelsin (Sam Levene), kuoliaaksi. Myöhemmin elokuvassa teon tekijäksi paljastuu Robert Ryanin näyttelemä Montgomery, jonka ainoana motiivina on ollut uhrin juutalaisuus. Elokuva poikkeaa kirjasta, sillä siinä motiivina oli uhrin homoseksuaalisuus, mutta sitä pidettiin liian kiistanalaisena aiheena elokuvaan.[1]
