Veli-Matti Puumala (s. 18. heinäkuuta 1965, Kaustinen) on suomalainen säveltäjä.[1] Hän opiskeli Paavo Heinisen johdolla Sibelius-Akatemiassa ja myöhemmin Franco Donatonin johdolla Accademia Chigianassa, Italian Sienassa.


Puumala on sävellyksen professori Sibelius-Akatemiassa. Hänen teoksiaan ovat muiden muassa kontrabassokonsertto Taon ja Chain-tetralogia. Puumala sai vuonna 2005 Teosto-palkinnon pianokonsertostaan Seeds Of Time[2], sekä Erik Bergman -palkinnon vuonna 2011[3]. Puumala
on toiminut vuodesta 2016 lähtien Kaustisen kamarimusiikkiviikon taiteellisena johtajana.
