Jens Salumäe


Jens Salumäe (s. 15. maaliskuuta 1981 Tallinna, Eestin SNT, Neuvostoliitto) on virolainen entinen yhdistetyn urheilija[1] ja mäkihyppääjä.[2]


Yhdistetyssä Salumäe oli parhaimmillaan 17. sijalla 2001 Lahden MM-kilpailujen sprinttikilpailussa. Yhdistetyn kilpailijana Salumäe kävi aikuisten tasolla kaikkiaan kahdet olympialaiset ja kahdet MM-kisat. Maailmancupissa hän sijoittui parhaimmillaan 15:nneksi Liberecissä tammikuussa 2002.[1]


Mäkihyppyyn Salumäe ryhtyi keskittymään täysipainoisesti vuoden 2002 tietämillä kilpailtuaan 2002 Salt Lake Cityn olympialaisissa vielä yhdistetyssä. Mäkihypyn maailmancupissa hän pääsi yhteensä kuudessa kilpailussa maailmancupin pisteille, parhaana sijoituksenaan 21. sija 29. marraskuuta 2003 Kuusamosta. Torinon olympialaisissa 2006 Salumäe sijoittui suurmäessä 23:nneksi.[2]


Seuratasolla Salumäe edusti mäkihypyssä Puijon Hiihtoseuraa.[2] Häntä valmensi Pasi Huttunen.[3]
