Kingaroy on kaupunki Australiassa, Queenslandin osavaltiossa. Kaupungissa oli 10 070 asukasta vuoden 2016 väestönlaskennassa[1], ja se sijaitsee 160 kilometriä Brisbanesta luoteeseen. Kingaroy perustettiin vuonna 1886. Nykyään kaupungin ympäristössä tuotetaan esimerkiksi maapähkinöitä ja maitotuotteita. Kaupungissa valmistetaan maatalouslaitteita.[2] Kaupungin asukkaista noin 20 prosenttia on alle 14-vuotiaita, ja noin 22 prosenttia on yli 65-vuotiaita.[3]



Ilmasto |


Kingaroyssa on Köppenin ilmastoluokituksen mukaan subtrooppinen kostea ilmasto. Vuoden keskilämpötila on noin 18 °C ja keskimääräinen sademäärä 815 millimetriä. Tammikuu on lämpimin kuukausi. Silloin vuorokauden keskilämpötila on noin 24 °C. Viilein kuukausi on heinäkuu, jolloin keskilämpötila on noin 11 °C. Sateisin kuukausi on tammikuu, jolloin sataa keskimäärin noin 112 millimetriä. Syyskuu puolestaan on kuivin kuukausi. Silloin keskimääräinen sadanta on noin 33 millimetriä.[4]
