Klorendiinianhydridi (C9H2Cl6O3) on kloorattuihin rengasrakenteisiin anhydrideihin kuuluva orgaaninen yhdiste. Yhdistettä voidaan käyttää polymeeriteollisuudessa palonsuoja-aineena.



Ominaisuudet |


Huoneenlämpötilassa klorendiinianhydridi on valkoista kiteistä ainetta. Yhdiste hydrolysoituu erityisesti emäksisten vesiliuosten vaikutuksesta klorendiinihapoksi. Klorendiinianhydridi liukenee muun muassa etanoliin. Klorendiinihappo ärsyttää silmiä, ihoa ja hengitysteitä ja sille altistuminen voi aiheuttaa allergisen reaktion. Yhdiste kuuluu niin sanottuihin reaktiivisiin palonsuoja-aineisiin.[2][3][4][5]



Valmistus ja käyttö |


Klorendiinianhydridiä valmistetaan heksakloorisyklopentadieenin ja maleiinianhydridin välisellä Diels–Alder-reaktiolla. Tuote voidaan puhdistaa hydrolysoimalla se klorendiinihapoksi ja tämän jälkeen eristää klorendiinihappo. Kuumennettaessa klorendiinihappoa se kondensoituu muodostaen jälleen klorendiinianhydridia.[3][4][5]


Klorendiinihappoa käytetään polymeerien palonestoaineena. Erityisesti sitä käytetään tyydyttymättömien polyestereiden valmistuksessa yhdessä maleiinianhydridin ja polyolien kanssa. Lisäksi sitä käytetään myös alkydi- ja epoksihartsien palonsuoja-aineena. Klorendiinihappo parantaa myös polymeerien UV-säteily- ja korroosiokestävyyttä.[3][4][5]
