Sen julkaisijana toimi Def Jam Recordings, ei Sony.The Definition of X sisältää hittejä kuten "Where The Hood At", "X Gon Give It to Ya" ja "Party Up".


Albumi debytoi numerolla 26 U.S. Billboard 200 listalla, myyden 35,000 kappaletta ensimmäisellä viikollaan. 11. heinäkuuta 2007 mennessä albumi oli myynyt 65,826 kappaletta Yhdysvalloissa.
