České Budějovice (saks. Budweis) on kaupunki Tšekin tasavallassa. Se on Etelä-Böömin läänin suurin kaupunki. Kaupungissa on 94 936 asukasta (2009).[1] Se sijaitsee Vltava-joen varrella kohdassa, jossa Malše yhtyy jokeen.


České Budějovicen perusti Ottokar II Přemyslin ritari Hirzo, ja se sai kaupunginoikeudet 1265. Kaupungissa oli sen perustamisesta asti merkittävä saksalaisväestö, joka oli noin vuoteen 1880 enemmistönä. Teollistumisen myötä kaupunkiin muutti paljon tšekkejä ja saksalaiset jäivät vähemmistöksi (15,5 prosenttia vuonna 1930). Toisen maailmansodan jälkeen lähes kaikki saksalaiset karkotettiin Tšekkoslovakiasta.


České Budějovice on kauan tunnettu oluistaan. Merkittävin panimo on Pivovar Budějovický Budvar, joka omistaa oikeudet Budweiser-merkkiin suurimmassa osassa Eurooppaa. Kaupunki on tunnettu myös jääkiekosta: sieltä on tullut tunnettuja pelaajia, muun muassa Vaclav Prospal HC České Budějovice -jääkiekkoseurasta.


České Budějovice on katolisen České Budějovicen hiippakunnan keskus.


České Budějovicessa on mielenkiintoista keskiaikais- ja barokkiarkkitehtuuria kaupungin torin läheisyydessä. Merkittävin rakennus lienee noin vuonna 1300 valmistunut dominikaaniluostari, jossa on goottilainen Kostel Obětování Panny Marie. Kansallissankari Jan Žižkan kotilinna sijaitsee noin kymmenen kilometrin päässä ja Český Krumlov noin 30 kilometrin päässä.


Manner-Euroopan ensimmäinen rautatie rakennettiin České Budějovicesta Linziin vuosina 1824–1832.[2]
