Mazar-i-Sharif (Mazār-i Šarīf) on kaupunki Pohjois-Afganistanissa. Se on Balkhin maakunnan pääkaupunki.


Mazar-i-Sharifin asukasluku on vähintään 300 000, jopa miljoona, mutta täsmällistä tietoa siitä ei ole.[2] Kaupungin puhutuin kieli on dari. Kaupungin tunnetuin nähtävyys on historiallinen Hazrat Alin moskeija eli Sininen moskeija.


Afganistanin 1990-luvun sisällissodissa Mazar-i-Sharif oli pitkään Pohjoisen liiton tärkeä keskus. Talibanit valtasivat kaupungin elokuussa 1998. Pohjoisen liitto valloitti kaupungin jälleen takaisin länsivaltojen tuella Afganistanin sodassa 9. marraskuuta 2001.


Autoritaarisin menetelmin kaupunkia hallitsevan kuvernööri Ustad Atta Mohammed Noorin noustua valtaan 2005 kaupunki on rauhoittunut ja sen talouselämä on elvytystoimien, kuten kaupunkiin houkuteltujen sijoitusten ansiosta kehittynyt hyväksi. Kaupungin turvallisuustilanne on hyvä.[2]


Kaupungissa on Balkhin yliopisto.
