Matilda (noin 1031 – 2. marraskuuta 1083) oli Alfred Suuren jälkeläinen, josta tuli Vilhelm Valloittajan puolisona Englannin kuningatar.


Matildan haudasta löytyneen luurangon perusteella hänen tiedetään olleen varsin lyhytkasvuinen. Muita varmoja tietoja hänene elämästään ei paljoakaan ole.[1]


Matilda ja Normandian herttua Vilhelm menivät naimisiin suunnilleen vuonna 1050. Paavi vastusti avioliittoa, koska he olivat kaukaisia sukulaisia keskenään. Heille syntyi yhdeksän lasta, joista seitsemän jäi eloon lapsuuden jälkeen: Robert II, Richard (kuoli noin 1074), Adeliza, Cecilia, Vilhelm Punainen, Constance, Adela ja Henrik I. Vilhelmin sotiessa Englannissa Matilda toimi Normandian sijaishallitsijana. Vuonna 1068 Vilhelm vei Matildan Englantiin, missä hänet kruunattiin kuningattareksi. Esikoispoika Robert ja Vilhelm kiistelivät Normandian herruudesta, ja Matildan kerrotaan lahjoittaneen salaa varoja pojalleen.[2]
