Feynmanin graafin avulla esitetään hiukkasten vuorovaikutuksia. Esitystavan kehitti Richard Feynman.[1]


Vaikutusmatriisin määräämiseksi sen piirtämiseen liittyy tiettyjä sääntöjä, joita kutsutaan Feynmanin säännöiksi. Nämä ovat hieman erilaisia sähködynamiikalle, vahvalle vuorovaikutukselle ja sähkö-heikolle vuorovaikutukselle.

Feynmanin diagrammissa vaaka-akseli kuvastaa aikaa ja pystyakseli avaruutta.[1]


Periaatteena graafissa toimii siten, että jokaiseen välittäjähiukkaseen liittyy oma terminsä, propagaattori, ja hiukkasten törmäyskohtia kutsutaan vertekseiksi, joihin liittyy myös oma terminsä. Laskemalla graafien perusteella vaikutusmatriisi, voidaan hiukkasreaktion vaikutusala laskea.
