Hjartdal on Norjan kunta Telemarkin läänissä. Se sijaitsee Notoddenista länteen. Kuntaan kuuluvat tunturikylät Hjartdal ja Tuddal sekä laajemmalle levittynyt laaksoasutus Sauland. Kunnassa on laajoja tunturi- ja metsäerämaita. Pohjoisessa Tinnin kunnassa pääosin sijaitsevan Gausta-tunturin eteläsivun juuri on Hjartdalin puolella, lounaassa kunta rajoittuu Seljordiin.[2] Tammikuussa 2013 tehdyn väestönlaskennan mukaan kunnassa oli 1 609 asukasta.[3]
