Nostoraha (ruots. revisionsskilling) oli Suomessa vuosina 1923–1959 käytössä ollut rahasumma, joka maksettiin hovioikeudelle haettaessa noston eli revision avulla muutosta hovioikeuden tuomioon tai päätökseen. Nostorahan ohella hovioikeudelle tarvitsi antaa kirjallinen ilmoitus tyytymättömyydestä. Nostoraha maksettiin takaisin, jos korkein oikeus muutti tai kumosi hovioikeuden langettaman tuomion tai palautti oikeusjutun alemman tuomioistuimen ratkaistavaksi.[1] Jos riidan osapuolet sopivat jutun noston jälkeen tai korkein oikeus vahvisti hovioikeuden tuomion, niin hovioikeus sai pitää nostorahan. Samoin tapahtui, jos korkein oikeus ei ottanut juttua käsiteltäväkseen.[2]


Nostorahan maksamisesta oli vapautettu varattomat,[3]Suomen Pankki,[4]Helsingin yliopisto,[5]Valtiokonttori,[6][7]Postisäästöpankki,[8] Kouluvirkakunnan eläkekassa,[9] Kirkollisvirkakunnan leski- ja orpokassan johtokunta[10] ja Puolustuslaitoksen leski- ja orpokassan johtokunta[11]


Ennen nostoraha-nimityksen käyttöönottoa säädöksissä mainittiin pelkkä rahasumma, joka vuoden 1734 lain mukaan oli 200 talaria tai vastaava määrä hopeaa tai kultaa ja vuosina 1868–1923 sata talaria.[12] Vuosina 1923–1950 nostorahan suuruus oli 200 markkaa[13] ja vuosina 1951–1959 sen suuruus oli 2 000 markkaa.[14] Nostorahoista kertyneet korkovarat määrättiin meneviksi valtiolle vuodesta 1954 lähtien.[15]. Laki nostorahasta (409/1952) kumottiin lailla (428/1959) vuoden 1960 alusta lähtien, jolloin muutoksenhausta alettiin periä leimaveroa.
