Pehmolelu on esimerkiksi eläintä muistuttava lelu, joka on täytetty puuvillalla tai muulla pehmeällä materiaalilla. Aikaisempina vuosisatoina vastaavissa leluissa käytettiin täytteenä esimerkiksi olkia tai papuja. Tunnetuin pehmolelu on nallekarhu (teddykarhu). Ensimmäiset kaupalliset pehmolelut valmisti tiettävästi saksalainen Steiff-yhtiö, joka perustettiin 1880 Giengen an der Brenzin kaupungissa. Yhtiö tekee pehmoleluja edelleen. Muita tunnettuja valmistajia nykyään ovat esimerkiksi Ty, Disney, Gund, Russ Berrie and Build-A-Bear Workshop. Pehmoleluja voi halata tai käyttää unileluna. Allergisille lapsille myydään pehmoleluja, joiden pinta ei pöllyä.lähde?
