I'm working on 5-fold cross validation for recommender system (e.g. soft-impute) in R, and I found that predicted or imputed matrix (with syntax 'complete') of really observed data are the same as predicted one and so RMSE is always zero. I know how cross validation works in linear regression model but I have no idea of how it works in recommender system. I expected predicted value of observed data are somewhat different from real ones but it seems not..
Can anyone let me know that point that I'm stucked in? Thanks!
