Richard Burns Rally on Warthog Gamesin kehittämä vuonna 2004 julkaistu ralliautopeli. Peli tavoittelee korkealle vietyä realismia.


Alkuperäispelissä on neljä erilaista pelitilaa (Windows-versioon on kehitetty jälkikäteen myös verkkopeli), kuusi rallia (mukana Arctic Lapland Rally) ja kahdeksan autoa.


Peli on nimetty rallin maailmanmestarin Richard Burnsin mukaan.

Richard Burns Rallyn PC-versio sai ilmestyttyään kiittävät arvostelut sekä eri verkko- että paperimedioilta. PC Gamer -lehti antoi pelille arvosanaksi yhdeksän pistettä kymmenestä, mutta toisaalta taas Edge-pelijulkaisu arvioi RBR:n vain seitsemään pisteen arvoiseksi. Arvosteluissa kiitosta keräsi erityisesti pelin palkitseva ajotuntuma.


Game Rankings -sivustolla pelin Windows-versiolla on 80% arvosana[1], kun taas PlayStation 2 ja Xbox versioiden arvosanat ovat 75.14%[2] ja 66.88%[3].



Harrastustoiminta |


Pelin Windows-versioon on julkaistu harrastajien toimesta satoja autopäivityksiä, modeja ja jopa uusia erikoiskokeita. Vielä vuonna 2019 RBR on yksi aktiivisimmin pelatuista rallipeleistä hyvän ajotuntumansa ja laajat mahdollisuudet antavan muokattavuutensa ansiosta. Suomessa on erittäin laaja kulttuuri RBR:n ympärillä, ja pelissä ollaan järjestetty useita palkintosarjoja.
