Astro (hangul: 아스트로) on eteläkorealainen poikabändi, jonka perusti vuonna 2015 Fantagio.


Ryhmä teki debyyttinsä vuonna 2016, ja se koostuu kuudesta jäsenestä MJ, Jin Jin, Eunwoo, Moon Bin, Rocky ja Sanha.[1]

Ennen debyyttiä |


Elokuussa 2015 ilmoitettiin, että levy-yhtiö Fantagio suunnitteli uuden poikabändin perustamista nimellä Astro.[2] Bändi koostuisi kuudesta jäsenestä Jin Jin, MJ, Eunwoo, Moon Bin, Rocky ja Sanha.[3] He aloittivat toimintansa myöhemmin samana kuukautena helmikuulle suunniteltua debyyttiä varten.[4]


He herättivät huomiota jo ennen debyyttiään esiintymällä draamasarjassa To Be Continued. [5][6] To Be Continued oli ryhmän debyyttiprojekti ja sarjaan osallistui myös muita artisteja ja näyttelijöitä Fantagiosta.[7] Tammikuussa 2016 he esiintyivät myös reality-ohjelmassa ASTRO, OK! Ready.  Ohjelman näytti televisioyhtiö MBC Music. Tammikuussa ilmoitettiin ryhmän debyyttipäiväksi 23. helmikuuta 2016.[8][9]

Näyttelijä Kim Sae-ron näytteli To Be Continued sarjassa ja musiikkivideossa "Cat's Eye"


13. helmikuuta 2016 julkaistiin ensimmäinen teaservideo ryhmän debyytistä ja 16. helmikuuta julkaistiin kooste tulevan Spring Up -albumin kappaleista.[10][11] Ensimmäinen teaservideo debyyttisinglen musiikkivideosta julkaistiin 18. helmikuuta.[12] ja 23. helmikuuta julkaistiin koko ”Hide & Seek” -singlen musiikkivideo, sekä Spring Up -albumi.[13] Albumi sisältää yhteensä viisi kappaletta.



Debyytin jälkeen |


Ensimmäisen albumin jälkeen Astro on julkaissut viisi albumia Summer Vibes, Autumn Story, Winter Dream, Dream Part.01 ja Dream Part.02
