Svetlana Žurova


Svetlana Sergejevna Žurova (s. 1. kesäkuuta 1972) on venäläinen pikaluistelija, joka on erikoistunut sprinttimatkoille.


Žurova on kilpaillut kansainvälisellä tasolla vuodesta 1989 lähtien. Kaudella 1995-1996 hän voitti maailmancupin 500 metrillä. Matkakohtaisissa MM-kisoissa hän on saavuttanut 500 metrillä kultaa vuonna 1996, hopeaa vuosina 1998–2000 ja pronssia vuonna 2001. Sprintterien maailmanmestaruuden hän voitti vuonna 2006.


Talviolympialaisiin Žurova on osallistunut neljästi, mutta saavutti ensimmäisen mitalinsa vasta 34-vuotiaana 2006 Torinon kisoista, jossa voitti 500 metrin kilpailun. Hän aikoi lopettaa uransa jo vuonna 2003 saatuaan lapsen, mutta aviomiehensä kannustuksesta päätti menestyksekkäästi jatkaa uraansa.
