Kinosto Oy on vuonna 2005 perustettu elokuvatuotantoyhtiö. Tuotemerkin historia alkaa kuitenkin jo 1920-luvulta, jolloin Väinö Mäkelä perusti yhdessä liikekumppaniensa kanssa Kinosto-nimisen elokuvateatteriyhtiön, joka laajeni myöhemmin myös elokuvien levitys- ja tuotantotoimintaan. Kinosto oli yksi niistä yhtiöistä, joiden yhdistyessä muodostui Finnkino Oy vuonna 1986. Finnkino käytti yhtiölogonaan Kinoston sektorimallista K-tunnusta 90-luvun puoleenväliin saakka.


Nykyisen Kinosto Oy:n omistavat Taru Mäkelä (Väinö Mäkelän pojan tytär), Anne Heiskanen ja Jouko Seppälä. Kinosto Oy valmistaa pitkiä näytelmäelokuvia ja dokumentteja sekä itsenäisesti että kansainvälisinä yhteistuotantoina.


Taru Mäkelä on ohjannut Mäkelän elokuvasuvusta kertovan dokumenttielokuvan Saalis (2006).
