Württemberg on entinen ruhtinaskunta ja alue Schwabenissa Lounais-Saksassa. Alueen suurin kaupunki on Stuttgart. Stuttgart toimi myös Württembergin pääkaupunkina, lukuun ottamatta lyhyeitä jaksoja jolloin Württembergia johdettiin Ludwigsburgista ja Urachista.



Historia |


Württembergistä tuli herttuakunta vuonna 1495, Württembergin kuningaskunta 1806 ja Saksan tasavallan osa vuonna 1918. Saksan liittotasavaltaa muodostettaessa vuonna 1952 Württemberg ja Baden yhdistyivät Baden-Württembergin osavaltioksi.



Viininviljelyalue |


Württemberg on yksi Saksan kolmestatoista viininviljelyalueesta.
Alueen viinikeskuksia ovat Stuttgart ja Heilbronn. Useimmat viinitarhat kuitenkin sijaitsevat hajallaan Neckarin jokilaaksossa peltojen ja metsien keskellä.[1]
