Bukavu on kaupunki Kongon demokraattisessa tasavallassa. Se sijaitsee Kivu-järven rannalla ja on Sud-Kivun provinssin pääkaupunki.


Belgialaiset perustivat Costermansvillen vuonna 1901. Nimi muutettiin Bukavuksi vuonna 1966


Bukavussa on lentokenttä, hyvättieyhteydet eri suuntiin ja satama Kivu-järven rannalla, josta kulkee vuosittain yli sata tonnia rahtia.[1]


Vuonna 2004 kaupungissa oli noin 472 000 asukasta.[2]
