Soconuscon alue Meksikon Chiapasin osavaltiossa.


Soconusco (myös asteekkien kielellä Xoconochco) on Meksikon etelärajalla sijaitseva Tyynenmeren ja Sierra Madre de Chiapasin vuoriston välinen kapea kaistale. Soconusco on Ciapasin osavaltion eteläosassa Ulapa- ja Suchiatejokien välissä. Soconuscon alue on tunnettu siitä, että sieltä on tehty varhaisia Mesoamerikan kulttuurin syntyä valaisevia löytöjä ajalta noin 1950 eaa- 500 eaa. Soconuscon varhaisia intiaanikulttuureja kutsutaan yhteisnimellä Mokaya. Asteekkien aikana Soconusco tuotti ketsaalin sulkia ja kaakaota. Meksiko ja Guatemala kisitelivät alueesta 1800-luvulla, ennen kuin maat sopivat rajasta vuonna 1882.
