Verkko on Anna-Kaari Hakkaraisen esikoisromaani, joka ilmestyi Tammen kustantamana 2011. Teos sijoittuu vaihtoehtohistoriaan, jossa Suomi on neuvostotasavalta.



Vastaanotto |


Verkko sai ristiriitaisen vastaanoton. Pohjalaisen Mirjam Silvén kiitteli Hakkaraisen kieltä ja Helsingin Sanomien Antti Majander totesi, että kirja on hyvin kirjoitettu mutta sanottava ei riitä täyttämään sivumäärää.[1][2]Portin Markku Soikkeli kirjoitti teoksen olevan keskeneräinen. Kirjassa ei näy erityistä historiallista asiantuntemusta eikä sitä voi suositella myöskään spekulatiivisuutensa puolesta. Historiaa kuvataan romaanissa ”siten kuin se olisi vinksahtanut moraalisesti tarkoituksenmukaiselta raiteeltaan” ja historia ”edustaa metafysiikkaa tavalla, joka on kovasti tuttua nationalistisessa retoriikassa”.[3]
