Burjatian lippu


Burjatian lippu on Venäjään kuuluvan Burjatian tasavallan tunnus. Se otettiin käyttöön 29. lokakuuta 1992 ja sen mittasuhteet ovat 1:2.


Lipussa on kolme vaakaraitaa väreiltään sininen, valkoinen ja keltainen. Sininen raita on kaksi kertaa paksumpi kuin muut raidat. Lipun sininen väri on burjaattien kansallisväri ja se symboloi myös rehellisyyttä ja uskollisuutta (erään tulkinnan mukaan sininen symboloi taivasta ja Baikaljärveä). Valkoinen symboloi korkeaa moraalia, onnea, rauhaa, hyvinvointia, rauhallisuutta, yhtenäisyyttä ja eheyttä. Väriyhdistelmä sininen-valkoinen viittaa myös Venäjän lippuun. Keltainen symboloi vapautta ja vaurautta, kuten myös lamalaisuutta ja buddhalaisuutta. Sinisessä raidassa on soyombo-symboli, johon on kuvattu kolmiliekkinen tulen liekki, aurinko ja kuu. Tulenliekin kolme kielekettä symboloivat menneisyyttä, nykyisyyttä ja tulevaa. Aurinkoa pidetään elämän lähteenä ja kuu on burjaattien kunnioituksen kohde.
