Carl Hermann Conrad Burmeister (15. tammikuuta 1807 Stralsund – 2. toukokuuta 1892 Buenos Aires) oli saksalainen luonnontieteilijä. Hän työskenteli maantieteen, geologian, kasvitieteen, lintutieteen, meribiologian, hyönteistieteen, eläintieteen, paleontologian ja meteorologian parissa.


Burmeister opiskeli Greifswaldin yliopistossa 1826 alkaen ja 1827 alkaen Hallen-Wittenbergin yliopistossa, jonka eläintieteen professorina hän sitten toimi 1837–1861. Hän valmistui lääketieteen tohtoriksi 1829 väitöskirjalla De Insectorum Systemate Naturali ja filosofian tohtoriksi 1827 aiheesta Allgemeine Schilderung des Baues der Fische.


Burmeister teki mittavat tutkimusmatkat Brasiliaan 1850–1852 ja Argentiinaan 1857–1860. Hän palasi Saksaan mukanaan eläintieteellisiä kokoelmia. 1861 hän muutti asumaan Argentiinaan.


Burmeister nimesi suuren määrän lajeja, muun muassa pensastinamin (Nothoprocta cinerascens). Hänen kunniakseen on nimetty pensaskäärmekurki (Chunga burmeisteri), kirviskolibri (Microstilbon burmeisteri) ja lehtinapsija (Phyllomyias burmeisteri).[1]
