masternauhaäänenvoimakkuus








Magneettinauha eli avokelanauha oli yleinen työväline masternauhan tekoon analogisen musiikkituotannon aikakaudella. Niitä käytetään edelleen, mutta valtaosa musiikista tuotetaan digitaalisesti.


Äänen masterointi on musiikkituotannon jälkiprosessi, jossa nauhoitetusta äänimateriaalista luodaan masternauha kopiointiprosessia varten.[1]


Äänen masterointi on tärkeä osa kaupallisen äänitteen tuottamista. Tässä prosessissa raitojen eli musiikkikappaleiden äänimaailmaa tasapainotetaan, yhtenäistetään ja jopa korjataan sekä saatetaan äänenvoimakkuus nykystandardien mukaiselle kaupalliselle tasolle. Näiden toimenpiteiden jälkeen luodaan mastertiedosto tai masternauha.[1]


Masternauha liittyy analogiseen musiikin tuottamiseen, jota ei tehdä enää kovin paljon, koska mekaanisen pyörivän magneettinauhan tilalla käytetään digitaalista tekniikkaa ja laitteistoja. Masteroinnin lopputulos on siis tietokoneella luotava ja luettava mastertiedosto.[1]
