José Maria Vasconcelos (tunnetaan yleisesti salanimellä Taur Matan Ruak) on itätimorilainen entinen sissijohtaja, puolustusvoimien komentaja, poliitikko ja maan entinen presidentti.


Ruak valittiin selvin lukemin Itä-Timorin presidentiksi vuoden 2012 presidentinvaalissa. Ruak sai vaalien toisella kierroksella yli 61 prosenttia äänistä. Toiseksi tullut Francisco Guterres keräsi noin 39 prosenttia äänistä. Myös Guterres taisteli aikoinaan Indonesian miehityshallintoa vastaan.[1][2]Francisco Guterres voitti vuoden 2017 predidentinvaalit ja hän astui virkaan toukokuussa 2017[3].
