Jill Dando (9. marraskuuta 1961 – 26. huhtikuuta 1999) oli brittiläinen televisiojuontaja.


Weston-super-Maressa syntynyt Dando opiskeli journalismia Walesin South Glamorgan Institute of Higher Educationissa. Dando nousi Devonissa sijaitsevan BBC:n paikallisradion uutistenlukijaksi vuonna 1985. Hän siirtyi BBC South Westiin ja Lontooseen muuttamisen jälkeen valtakunnalliseen televisioon. Dando juonsi uransa aikana useita BBC:n televisio-ohjelmia, kuten Breakfast Newsia, Six o' clock newsia, matkaohjelma Holidayta, rikossarja Crimewatchia sekä ajoittain Songs of Praisea.


Kuollessaan Dando oli ehtinyt vetää ensimmäisen osan uudesta projektistaan Antiques Inspectorsista. Lisäksi hän oli juuri päässyt Radio Times -lehden kanteen.

Dando menehtyi henkirikoksen uhrina 37-vuotiaana.[1] Hän oli kävelemässä 26. huhtikuuta 1999 kotiinsa Länsi-Lontooseen, kun hänet ammuttiin kotiovelleen noin kello 11.30 aamulla. Paikallinen löysi ruumiin pian. Dando kiidätettiin sairaalaan, jossa hänet jouduttiin kuitenkin toteamaan kuolleeksi.


Henkirikoksen tutkimukset kestivät pitkään. Kuuden kuukauden kuluttua tutkimusryhmä oli ehtinyt jo puhua asian tiimoilta yli 2 500 ihmiselle. Silminnäkijähavaintojen perusteella saatiin kuitenkin pidätettyä Barry George -niminen brittimies.


George todettiin syylliseksi ja tuomittiin elinkautiseen vankeuteen heinäkuussa 2001. Tuomioistuin käsitteli tapauksen uudelleen kesällä 2008 ja George todettiin syyttömäksi Dandon murhaan.[2]
