Kellarikrouvi


Kellarikrouvi oli vuoden 2014 lopussa toimintansa lopettanut[1]ravintola, joka toimi kahdessa kerroksessa Helsingin keskustassa kansallisromanttis–jugendtyylisessä entisessä Lääkäreiden talossa Kasarmitorin kulmalla. Alakerran ravintolassa tiiliholvien kattama ravintolatila oli L-kirjaimen muotoinen, katutason ravintola oli bistrotyylinen.[2][3] Ravintolassa oli lisäksi kaksi kabinettia.[4] Kellarikrouvi kuului 1965–1991 Alkon omistamalle Kantaravintoloille[5], sitten saman konsernin Arctialle vuoteen 1997 saakka[6] ja loppuvuosina Royal Ravintoloille.


Kellarikrouvi perustettiin Fabianinkatu 17:ään vuonna 1965. Yhdysvaltain entinen presidentti Bill Clinton on muistellut käyneensä ravintolassa vierailessaan nuorena opiskelijana Helsingissä.[7] Vuoteen 1979 asti Yleisradion vanha radiotalo sijaitsi Kellarikrouvin naapurissa Fabianinkatu 15:ssä, ja ravintola tunnettiinkin yleläisten kantapaikkana lempinimeltään ”Studio 10” vielä pitkään yleläisten siirryttyä Töölön Kesäkadulle ja Pasilaan.[8][9]


Ravintolan lopetettua toimintansa sen tiloissa jatkaa ravintola The Cock, joka myös kuuluu Royal Ravintoloihin[10]
