Tauno Ilmari Putkonen (16. tammikuuta 1900 Rauma[1] – 29. lokakuuta 1976[2]Helsinki) oli suomalainen lääkäri ja professori.[3]


Putkosen vanhemmat olivat Pekka Putkonen ja Ida Alina Paasia ja puoliso vuodesta 1929 Aili Esteri Kiljunen. Hän tuli ylioppilaaksi Suomalaisesta normaalilyseosta 1917 ja valmistui lääketieteen lisensiaatiksi 1926. Putkonen väitteli tohtoriksi Suomessa 1931 ja suoritti vielä lääketieteen tohtorintutkinnon Johns Hopkins -yliopistossa Baltimoressa Yhdysvalloissa 1947. Iho- ja sukupuolitautien erikoislääkärin pätevyyden hän sai 1930 ja alan dosentti Helsingin yliopistossa hän oli vuodesta 1945 vuoteen 1951. Putkonen työskenteli lääkärinä useissa eri sairaaloissa 1920-luvun lopulta, Helsingin yliopiston iho- ja sukupuolitautien professorina hän toimi vuodesta 1952.[4] Putkosen professuuri jatkui vuoteen 1967 saakka. Hänen tutkimusalaansa olivat bakteriologia, serologia ja iho- ja sukupuolitaudit.[5]
