Ammusilmatorjuntaa on ilmatorjunta, missä aseistuksena käytetään ilmatorjuntaohjusten sijasta perinteisiä menetelmiä: ilmatorjuntakonekivääreitä ja ilmatorjuntatykkejä. Ennen ohjuksien kehitystä lähes kaikki (poikkeus ilmatorjuntaraketti Fliegerfaust) aktiivinen ilmatorjunta oli ammusilmatorjuntaa. Ilmatorjunnan kehitys alkoi ensimmäisessä maailmansodassa siitä, että kenttätykkejä pyrittiin suuntaamaan taivaalle ja ampumaan hitaasti liikkuvia ilmalaivoja tai hitaasti lentäviä lentokoneita konekiväärien ja kiväärien ilma-ammunnan lisäksi.


Keveintä ammusilmatorjuntaa on rynnäkkökiväärillä tai muulla vastaavalla suoritettu ilma-ammunta, missä usean aseen tuli pyritään keskittämään ennakot huomioiden kohteeseen. Raskainta ammusilmatorjuntaa on suuren kaliiperin konetykkien tulitus.


Ammusilmatorjunnalla on yhä edelleen merkitystä nykyaikaisen sodankäynnin kannalta. Perinteisestä koetellusta tekniikasta johtuen ilmatorjuntatykit ovat luotettavia, eikä niiden ampumia kranaatteja kyetä häiritsemään tai harhauttamaan kun ne on kerran ammuttu. Ammusilmatorjunnan käyttökelpoisuutta rajoittaa ohjuksia pienempi torjuntaulottuvuus. Nykyään ammusilmatorjuntaa käytetään lähi- ja kohdeilmatorjunnassa lähinnä tiedustelulennokkeja, taisteluhelikoptereita ja rynnäkkökoneita vastaan. Asejärjestelmät saattavat olla varustettuja laskimella ja tutkalla.
