Leo I


Leo I on kääpiösferoidigalaksi Leijonan tähdistössä. Se kuuluu Paikalliseen ryhmään ja on mahdollisesti Linnunradan satelliittigalaksi. Sen (ja Leo II:n) löysivät R.G. Harrington ja A.G. Wilson vuonna 1950. Vaikka galaksin kirkkaus on suhteellisen korkea, (magnitudi 9,8), sen havaitseminen on silti hyvin hankalaa johtuen Reguluksen aiheuttamasta häiriöstä.
