Kraatterin sijainti Ukrainan keskiosissa.


Boltyš-kraatteri (ukr. Бовтиський кратер, Bovtiskyi krater, ven. Болтышский кратер, Boltyški krater) on kraatteri Ukrainassa. Kraatterin ikä on noin 65,17±0,64 miljoonaa vuotta ja sen läpimitta on 24 kilometriä.[1] Kraatteri havaitaan vain mittauksilla; sitä ei näy pinnassa, sillä se on niin vanha, että se on peittynyt kivikerrosten alle.


Kraatterin aiheutti melko kookas asteroidi törmätessään Maahan. Kraatterin arvioidaan syntyneen samalla aikakaudella kun hirmuliskot tuhoutuivat ja Maahan törmäsi muitakin suuria kappaleita, muun muassa Chicxulub-kraatterin ja Shiva-kraatterin synnyttäneet kappaleet. Nämä kraatterit kuitenkin syntyivät eri aikoihin.[2]
