Boccen kieli on myös kuvitteellinen Tähtien sota -elokuvissa esiintynyt kieli.

Bocce on pallonheittopeli, jolla on sukulaisia aina antiikin Rooman ajoilta asti. Sen sukulaisia ovat ranskassa suosittu petankki, brittiläinen bowls ja vammaisurheilussa suosittu boccia.


Boccea pelaa kaksi joukkuetta. Kenttänä on laudoin eristetty maapohjainen pelialue, noin 20–30 metriä pitkä sekä noin 2,5–4 metriä leveä. Kentän toinen pää on pelaajien heittopää, ja toisessa päässä on maalialue. Maalialueelle heittää aloittava joukkue ensin pienen pallon ja sen jälkeen ison pallon. Asetusvuoro siirtyy toiselle joukkueelle, elleivät aloittajat saa palloa lainkaan maalialueelle. Bocce-pelissä pallot ovat messinkiä.


Heittovuorossa on se joukkue, jonka lähin pallo on kauempana maalipallosta. Se joukkue, jonka pallot ovat lopuksi lähempänä, saa niin monta pistettä kuin palloja on vastapuolen lähintä palloa lähempänä. Pelistä tunnetaan eri variaatioita.
