Omar Nasiri on 1960-luvulla syntyneen marokkolaisen vakoojan pseudonyymi. Hän soluttautui al-Qaidaan ja toimi tämän koulutusleireillä Afganistanissa välittäen tietoja Britannian ja Ranskan tiedustelupalveluille. Hän väitti BBC haastattelussa 16. marraskuuta 2006, että Britannian tiedustelupalvelua varoitettiin 1990-luvun puolessa välissä al-Qaidan uhasta, mutta britit eivät toimineet tarpeeksi nopeasti.[1] Hän myös väittää leirillä tapaamansa Ibn al-Shaykh al-Libin antaneen tarkoituksella kuulusteluissa Yhdysvalloille virheellistä tietoa yllyttääkseen näitä syrjäyttämään Saddam Husseinin vallasta, jotta al-Qaida saisi Irakin jihadistiseksi tukikohdakseen.[1]


Nasiri on kirjoittanut kokemuksistaan vakoojana teoksen Jihadin sydämessä: elämäni al-Qaidan taistelijana ja sen vakoojana, jossa hän kertoo yksityiskohtaisesti elämästään Belgian maanalaisessa terroristitoiminnassa, Afganistanin leireillä sekä Britannian radikaaleissa muslimiyhteisöissä. Osa kirjan yksityiskohdista on kuitenkin muutettu kirjailijan ja tämän läheisten suojelemiseksi.
