Elizabeth Kostova (s. 26. joulukuuta 1964 New London, Connecticut) on yhdysvaltalainen kirjailija. Hän on suorittanut loppututkinnon Yalen yliopistossa, ja hänellä on maisterin tutkinto (Master of Fine Arts) luovasta kirjoittamisesta Michiganin yliopistosta, jossa hän voitti Hopwood-palkinnon parhaasta tekeillä olevasta romaanista.


Kostovan esikoisromaani Historiantutkija (The Historian) julkaistiin vuonna 2005, ja kirja on saanut suuren suosion. WSOY julkaisi Arto Schroderuksen suomennoksen seuraavana vuonna. Historiallista kauhua hipova jännityskirja sijoittuu 1930-, 1950- ja 1970-luvuille (epilogi vuoteen 2008) ja kertoo ihmisvereen viehtyneen Draculan tarinan historiantutkijan näkökulmasta. Kirjassa yhdistelläänkin tositapahtumia, historiallista materiaalia ja fiktiota. Sony osti romaanin elokuvaoikeudet jo ennen sen julkaisua[1].
