Hampurin taidehalli (saks. Hamburger Kunsthalle) on taidemuseo, joka sijaitsee Hampurissa Saksassa. Museo on erikoistunut hampurilaiseen taiteeseen 1300-luvulla, hollantilaisiin ja 1500-1600-luvun flaamilaisiin taiteilijoihin, ranskalaiseen ja saksalaiseen 1800-luvun taiteeseen sekä nykytaiteeseen.


Museo koostuu kolmesta toisiinsa liittyvästä rakennuksesta, jotka ovat Hampurin keskustassa lähellä metron pääasemaa.[1]

Historia |


Ensimmäinen museorakennus rakennettiin vuosina 1863—1869. Toinen rakennus valmistui vuonna 1919. Uusin osa on ollut rakenteilla vuodesta 1976 vuoteen 1997.[1]


Ensimmäinen johtaja Alfred Lichtwark nimitettiin tehtäväänsä vuonna 1889. Lichtwark toi museolle maailmanlaajuista mainetta löytämällä uudelleen merkittävät gotiikan ajan hampurilaiset maalarit Mestari Francken ja Mestari Bertramin sekä romantiikan ajan maalarit Rungen ja Friedrichin. Hän myös hankki museoon näiden taiteilijoiden teoksia. Hän laajensi myös monien uudempien taiteilijoiden, kuten ranskalaisten impressionistien teosten kokoelmaa museossa.[2]


Lichtwarkin seuraaja Gustav Paul aloitti vuonna 1914. Hänen aikanaan museota laajennettiin uudella rakennuksella, mikä olikin tarpeen tilanpuutteen vuoksi. Muuton yhteydessä hän järjesti kokoelmat uudelleen. Uudempi ekspressionistinen taide ja modernismi ei ollut Paulin alaa, mutta siitä huolimatta hän hankki museolle Édouard Manet'n maalauksen Nana, joka on nykyisin yksi museon kokoelmien merkittävimmistä teoksista.[2]

Galerie der Gegenwart


Museossa on merkittävä kokoelma 1800-luvun maalauksia eri taiteilijoilta, kuten Max Liebermannilta, Philipp Otto Rungelta, Caspar David Friedrichiltä ja Adolph von Menzeliltä. Gallerie der Gegenwart omistautuu moderneille taiteilijoille, kuten Pablo Picassolle, Paul Kleelle ja Max Beckmannille, sekä vuoden 1945 jälkeiselle taiteelle.[3]
