Koko ja ulkonäkö |


Hämyraitatokko kasvaa noin 13 cm pitkäksi. Sen vartalossa on ruskeansävyisiä pystyraitoja, selkäevässä on tumma silmätäplä. Silmän alla kulkee neonsininen raita.[2]



Alkuperä |


Hämyraitatokkoja elää luonnossa Punaisella merellä, Intian valtamerellä, Thaimaan ympäristössä ja Japanin seudulla. Eri alueilla on kehittynyt erilaisia värimuunnoksia.[3]



Käyttäytyminen |


Hämyraitatokkoja pidetään meriakvaariossa jossa on korallihiekkapohja, jonka joukosta tokot kaivelevat ruokaa itselleen. Ne eivät näyki koralleja, joten ne käyvät myös riutta-akvaarioon. Joskus hiekan pöllyttäminen aiheuttaa ongelmia koralleille. Jotkut yksilöt ovat aggressiivisia lajitovereitaankohtaan[4]



Vesiolot ja ravinto |


Hämyraitatokot syövät hiekasta itse kaivamiensa ötököiden lisäksi jonkun verran lihaisaa pakasteruokaa. Ruokinta on joskus ongelmallista, ja kala voi nääntyä nälkään.[5]
