Pyratsolaami on bentsodiatsepiinijohdannainen jonka kehitti Leo Sternbachin johtama tiimi Hoffmann-La Rochella 1970-luvulla.[1] Sittemmin aine "löydettiin uudestaan", ja sitä on myyty muuntohuumeena vuodesta 2012 asti.[2]


Pyratsolaamilla on rakenteellisia samankaltaisuuksia alpratsolaamin[3] ja bromatsepaamin kanssa.


Muista bentsodiatsepiineista poiketen pyratsolaami ei metaboloidu, vaan se erittyy sellaisenaan virtsaan.[2][4]


Pyratsolaami toimii lähes pelkästään anksiolyyttinä, eikä sillä ole juuri muita vaikutuksia.lähde?
